Day 5

Day 5- A picture of me 2 yrs ago...

I couldn't find a decent picture of just me, so it's of me and my hubby!

Day 4

Day 4- My idea of the perfect date

My favorite date my husband and I went was our very first date. Steven and I met at working at Hamilton's, and from the moment I saw him, I thought he was so cute, and hoped he would ask me out someday! I was SO shy around him at work, and the day he finally asked me to "hang out", I couldn't stop smiling.. haha.

Our very first date was so cute. Steven took me to the Italian Place in downtown Logan, and we got some delicious sandwiches. I don't think I had ever been so nervous on a date before. After we had lunch, Steven told me he had a surprise for me... I thought, "isn't it a little early for surprises?" But he had rented a tandem bike for us to ride around town! I thought it was going to be lame, but we had SO much fun!

I loved this date because we got to know each other so well. That is my idea of the perfect date. Check out my video!!! :)

Cricut cake!

Tonight my mom, sis in law and myself had a blast making a cake! For Christmas my mom bought the girls a Cricut for making cakes, and tonight was our first attempt. It was my sister Vanessa's birthday today, and we are celebrating tomorrow, so we figured we would make her a b-day cake.

It was a very LONG process of trial and error, but we finally got the hang of it. From rolling out fondant, coloring fondant to making roses, we had finally made a darling birthday cake. I am going to be sad when we destroy it tomorrow!!

I will keep posting pictures of our progress... and you never know, maybe we'll have a television show one day on TLC. Haha! :)

Day 3

Day 3: A photo of your best friend

When I think of my best friend, it has to be Emily Swenson Armstrong. Emily and I hung out every day (my junior year and her senior year). She is one of those girls that you can sit around with, doing absolutely NOTHING and have a blast! I could always count on Emily for everything. She was always there for me when I "needed to go get a diet coke", and a million other times! I have so many fun memories that come to mind when I think of her, and I am sad that I can't see her every day anymore. We used to joke with each other about how we hated boys, and how rude they were to girls, and that when we got older we wanted to be "cat women", and live next door to each other with all of our cats. Hahaha. Thank goodness, we both found nice boys to marry, and we no longer risk being "cat women." Phew!

Another one of my favorite memories that come to mind when I think of Emily... one night we were super bored, and we decided we wanted to have a donut eating contest...between ourselves...?? Weird, I know. So we went to Albertson's, bought a "bakers dozen" of glazed donuts, and the competition was ON! As we opened the box, we started to divvy out each of our donuts.... We were SO excited, because the idiots at Albertson's gave us an extra donut!!!!! Instead of 12 donuts, there were 13 in the "bakers dozen". Well... come to find out, we were actually the idiots, because a "bakers dozen" comes with 13, instead of 12! Now we know...

Anyway, those are just a couple of memories about my best friend. LOVE YOU EM!

Day 2

Day 2- Description of how my day was:

I woke up early and went to my parents house to work out with my mom (still gotta win the Biggest Loser). After we worked out, we decided to go tanning and get diet cokes. MY FAVORITE!

I came home to my cute boys, and made Steven biscuits and gravy for breakfast. I haven't been feeling too great the past couple of days, so today has been kinda a lazy day. Just home hanging out with my little man.

There is nothing better than being able to stay home with Andrew and take care of him. He definitely keeps me busy, but it is the best thing in the entire world. He makes me SO happy. Today was a good, lazy day. :)

30 Day Blog Challenge- Day 1

Day 1: Favorite song- "Last Request" by Paolo Nutini.
When Steven and I were dating, one night in his car he turned this song on, and I loved it! So every time I got into his car we had to listen to this song. I think he probably hates it by now, but every time I hear it, it brings back so many fun memories. Here are a few of my favorite pictures of Steven and I while we were dating. :) Crazy how life changes in only a couple of years..! LOVE HIM!!! xoxo

New Year's Resolutions

Ok, so the past like 10 years of my life, I have always had New Year's Resolutions, and NEVER followed through with any of them! So this year I hope I can finally break that bad streak, and actually accomplish a few things...! Wish me luck!

1) Attending the temple monthly. After Andrew was born, my husband and I really got out of the habit of going to the temple, because we had so many other things going on.. and maybe I kind of have MAJOR anxiety about leaving my baby with someone for that long. I'm crazy, I know.

2) Lose 40 lbs.. So my family decided that starting Jan 1st we are all going to have a "Larsen's Biggest Loser" contest. The contest will last 3 months, and whoever loses the most weight wins some cold hard cash! I do have quite a few pounds from my pregnancy that I am not very fond of, and a big brother that tells me "HE IS GOING TO WIN", so I want nothing more than to say goodbye to my baby weight and beat my brother! I WILL WIN!!!!! (hopefully!)

3) Become a "coupon mom". I have always wanted to actually take the time to save coupons, and search for awesome deals online, and pay practically nothing for my groceries, while starting a food storage. What better time to start while we are poor college students?

Well, those are my New Year's Resolutions... only 3, I know. But I really want to do them, and if I did any more than 3, the chances of me accomplishing them are slim, to none. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

favorite 2010 moments...

Our all time favorite moment of 2010 would obviously had to have been the birth of our son, Andrew. There is absolutely no better feeling than becoming a parent. It is the BEST thing ever!! Andrew was born on October 7th. He was 7 lbs 6 oz 20 inches long, and PERFECT!

8 Days after our little guy was born, my brother and sister in law had a little girl, Olivia! She is SO beautiful! Her and Andrew are going to be best little buddies. So I became a mommy and an aunt in the same month. So fun!

Happy Halloween!!! Drew was a lion for his first Halloween. His costume was a little big, but he looked so cute! Rarrr!!!

Drews Blessing: This was such an amazing day. Steven did such a beautiful job. Afterwards we had a little get together with our families and had lunch.

Thanksgiving was great this year. We were able to spend it with my family and had such a great time.

Merry Christmas! This year for Christmas we were able to spend Christmas Eve with my family and Christmas morning with my hubby's family. We were a little bit nervous about Christmas because one week before Christmas, Andrew came down with pneumonia. (So scary.) We took him to Insta Care and he was put on antibiotics immediately and his pneumonia cleared right up! Thank goodness, because then we were able to spend the holidays with our families. Christmas Eve was so fun. We had a yummy dinner, played Bingo, played Hide and Seek in the dark, opened pj's and sibling gifts. We have so many fun traditions in my family, I definitely want to carry them over to my family in the future.

Christmas morning we were able to make it down to West Jordan to see Steven's family. A few of his family members were sick, so to take precaution (because Drew had been so sick) they wore face masks. Its not every day you get to sit around a Christmas tree with a bunch of sickies in white masks! Haha! We had a great dinner and so much fun! Christmas was GREAT this year!!

Okay, so I decided that I am going to try and keep a blog..! I always love reading other's blogs, so why not start my own!?
