Hello, Spring!

April at our house started out pretty crappy. The "flu from hell", cycled through our entire family. It started out with the little kids, and after a couple of weeks everyone had gotten it. It was absolutely terrible!!! I was up with Andrew one night, alllll night. The poor thing threw up at least 20 times. Then Steven got it, and was sick for a good 24 hours. A couple of days passed, and I thought I was the lucky one that didn't get it, and boy was I wrong. I honestly don't think I have ever in my life, been as sick as I was with this flu. Worst experience ever. Thank goodness for my mom. She was so kind and brought us dinner a couple nights in a row. It was funny because one day, all of my siblings were sick, so my mom had gotten everyone soup, and was making stops at all of our homes to bring us dinner. It was so sweet of her. I love my mom!

This was Andrew for about 2 days:

After we all conquered the flu, we definitely had cabin fever!! So we told Andrew we would take him to the famous Baby Animal Days......... He was so excited to see, "pups", "titties" (kitties) and all the other little animals we had been telling him about. When we pulled up to the farm, there was NOOO way any of us wanted to deal with how busy it was! I had never seen it so busy, ever! So we decided to take him to Petersons General Store, and show him the bunnies and baby chicks. He loved them. And was surprisingly so gentle with them.

I cannot believe that we are already half way through April. I guess time flies when you're busy, and having fun!!!
Over the Easter weekend my family took advantage of the semi- warm weather, and we decided to go camping up in Idaho to City of Rocks. It wasn't much camping for any of us.. being that we stayed in this...

And instead of sleeping bags.. we slept in these. Thank goodness!!!

We had such a good time. Both Steve and I, and also my brother Jase and his wife Whitney, stayed in the cabin. Our other family members had to "rough it" in motor homes! City of Rocks is the smallest little town I've even seen. It feels weird to even call it a town. But they had the most AMAZING little steak house we had ever been to! Yum!!!

City of Rocks is full of huge rock formations. It is a super popular place for rock climbers. We didn't do much hiking being that we had lots of little kids.

Drew and Olivia enjoying the view. Olivia kept screaming, "careful!!" To everyone climbing up the rocks. She was very concerned!!!!

Here is Steveo shooting. I think I hit more clay pigeons than he did!! ;) (but seriously)

Our cute German exchange student, Eileen, came back for Spring Break! It was so good seeing her, but we hate saying goodbye. We wish she were a part of our family.

The Easter bunny found Andrew even in the middle of nowhere!

I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend with their families! :)
