Life as of Late

The past couple months have been very eventful at our house, and I can't believe that summer is almost over. It blows my mind that some stores are already putting out Christmas stuff, and that my little boy will be 2 in a couple of months. Craaaazy! Where has the time gone?! Anyway, this post is definitely a photo overload- and a catch up! ;)

Over the weekend, we celebrated Stevens 30th birthday!!!! -30 is so weird to say.. I surprised him by taking him out to dinner with a few of his friends he hadn't seen for a few years. It was so great to see him catch up with everyone- we had a great time!

Aunt Sarah and aunt Emily! He sure LOVES them!

Trying out his new golf shoes

Andrew got his first real haircut the other day, and did awesome! He was very deserving of his sucker he got once he was done.

It blows me away at how big my little boy has gotten, and that he can say almost anything now, including "abc's and 123's". I love it! He is also so good at remembering to say family prayers at night before we go to bed, and is always the first to say, "amen!" It amazes me that even though he is so young, he is still so intrigued with aspects that involve the gospel, such as Jesus, Heavenly Father, and saying prayers. He doesn't know it, but he is already a great example to me, and I am so lucky I have such a sweet little spirit thats constantly reminding me of whats really important in life. I love you, Andrew!

Busy Little Bees

This summer has already been so fun, and busy! To start the month off Steven went with my dad, and brother, Jase, to Alaska for a week to do some serious fishing. They came home with nearly 300 lbs in salmon and halibut!!!

Steven in front of the "Ramblin' Rose". One of the boats off of the t.v. show The Deadliest Catch

The other night we tried the halibut for the first time, and I made beer battered fish tacos.... they were to die for. {I almost made them again tonight...}

Andrew got a new bike that had to be put together, and loves nothing more than to help daddy when using tools. When we go to Wal-Mart Andrew says, "tools!", and we have to walk down the tool aisle... so fun.........

 Steve Jr.!

One of our favorite parts of summer... SNOW CONES! Nothing better than a peaches n' creme! Yum!

Our house is finally starting to come together, and doesn't feel so bare now that I purchased these bad boys...

Steven started his new job this week, and is loving it. If anyone needs a personal banker in Logan, go see Steve-o! I kinda felt like a mom sending a child off to school on their first day.. I was so nervous for him!!! Lame, I know.

Pretty thrilled to be going swimming!

Drew chillin' at Cherry Hill! I think he probably consumed 50 cheetos that day. gross!

Not one bit scared to go down the slide himself! I was so proud!!

Someone got their {own} ice cream today, and even got to eat it by themselves in the car. Messy, but fun..!

Andrew loves to play outside with all of his new friends in our neighborhood. I have a feeling he is going to be in this pool a LOT this summer!

Thank goodness for sunny weather!!!!! Happy Summer!

Home Sweet Home!

We recently moved out of our apartment in Providence, and are now in a cute little townhome in Logan. So far we are loving it! It is so nice to finally have a bit more space, a huge tub, garage, and a little bit of a yard. We've still got a bit more unpacking, and organizing to get done, but for the most part, we're moved in. The one thing I love about moving, is you realize how much stuff you can accumulate over the years, and its nice to get rid of a few things. Definitely a good reason to de-clutter! Can I also say how lovely it is not have neighbors I can hear 24-7?!

Here are a few pictures of our new place:

We also got some other exciting news this week... Steven got an awesome promotion at Chase Bank! He has worked so hard, and has definitely been patient for a very long time, so we were very excited to hear the news! He will be transferring over to the Lee's Market Place branch and will be the new personal banker. I am so proud of him!!!!

Other than packing, and un-packing we've just been busy chasing Andrew around. He is definitely nearing the "terrible two's" stage, and is wearing us out. He gets into EVERYTHING, and loves to tell me, and his daddy, "no!" He is so much fun, and so much work at the same time, but we are loving it. :)
