3 years and many more to come!

Happy 3 year anniversary to my amazing husband! It's crazy to think that we have already been married for 3 whole years. They have been a busy few years, but they've been the best, and most exciting of my life. I am so grateful to have such a thoughtful and amazing husband. He is my best friend, such a great father, and I am so excited for the years and memories I have to come with him. I love you, Steven! xoxo!

Hello, Spring!

April at our house started out pretty crappy. The "flu from hell", cycled through our entire family. It started out with the little kids, and after a couple of weeks everyone had gotten it. It was absolutely terrible!!! I was up with Andrew one night, alllll night. The poor thing threw up at least 20 times. Then Steven got it, and was sick for a good 24 hours. A couple of days passed, and I thought I was the lucky one that didn't get it, and boy was I wrong. I honestly don't think I have ever in my life, been as sick as I was with this flu. Worst experience ever. Thank goodness for my mom. She was so kind and brought us dinner a couple nights in a row. It was funny because one day, all of my siblings were sick, so my mom had gotten everyone soup, and was making stops at all of our homes to bring us dinner. It was so sweet of her. I love my mom!

This was Andrew for about 2 days:

After we all conquered the flu, we definitely had cabin fever!! So we told Andrew we would take him to the famous Baby Animal Days......... He was so excited to see, "pups", "titties" (kitties) and all the other little animals we had been telling him about. When we pulled up to the farm, there was NOOO way any of us wanted to deal with how busy it was! I had never seen it so busy, ever! So we decided to take him to Petersons General Store, and show him the bunnies and baby chicks. He loved them. And was surprisingly so gentle with them.

I cannot believe that we are already half way through April. I guess time flies when you're busy, and having fun!!!
Over the Easter weekend my family took advantage of the semi- warm weather, and we decided to go camping up in Idaho to City of Rocks. It wasn't much camping for any of us.. being that we stayed in this...

And instead of sleeping bags.. we slept in these. Thank goodness!!!

We had such a good time. Both Steve and I, and also my brother Jase and his wife Whitney, stayed in the cabin. Our other family members had to "rough it" in motor homes! City of Rocks is the smallest little town I've even seen. It feels weird to even call it a town. But they had the most AMAZING little steak house we had ever been to! Yum!!!

City of Rocks is full of huge rock formations. It is a super popular place for rock climbers. We didn't do much hiking being that we had lots of little kids.

Drew and Olivia enjoying the view. Olivia kept screaming, "careful!!" To everyone climbing up the rocks. She was very concerned!!!!

Here is Steveo shooting. I think I hit more clay pigeons than he did!! ;) (but seriously)

Our cute German exchange student, Eileen, came back for Spring Break! It was so good seeing her, but we hate saying goodbye. We wish she were a part of our family.

The Easter bunny found Andrew even in the middle of nowhere!

I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend with their families! :)

February Fun

Look who the new back seat driver is! We just recently purchased Andrew a new big boy car seat, and he is in heaven. Now that he is fully aware of what is going on, theres no way Steven and I can sneak a treat, or anything without sharing half with Andrew. Before, he was completely unaware of what was going on in the front seats, and now not a thing gets past him. He looks so grown up in his new seat. The duck in the picture is Andrews "baby". They pretty much go everywhere together.

Valentines Day this year was a blast. I love having 2 Valentine dates! I don't think it gets much better than that. On Valentines Day we went to my moms traditional chinese food Valentines dinner! One year, in our chinese food to-go box (on V-day) they were handing out little romantic "goodies", if you will.. Our goody was a pair of thong underwear. Lovely, I know. Unfortunately we did not receive any romantic goody this year. Maybe next? ha.

The next night was the night, Steven, Andrew and I celebrated. We went out and got some yummy sushi at our fav sushi joint in Logan, called Takara, and came home to a delicious chocolate fondue, involving caramel, strawberries, and pound cake. YUM!!!!!

We also were able to see our friends Emily and Grahm this month! Andrew and Grahm are best buddies. Andrew is really good at feeding Grahm his treats :)

And if you're a Pinterest junkie like me, you probably know about edible fingerprints. They were a hit. Andrew painted the entire kitchen for me, and himself.

Oh, and don't forget about peanut butter play dough. Um.... DELICIOUS. All I needed was some chocolate to dip it in!!

Just a regular morning, brushing his teeth, while sitting on the oatmeal. I guess thats the key to no cavities. ;) Andrew has some really yummy toothpaste, and gets so excited every morning to brush his teeth. I can't argue with that!!

He also has gained quite the vocabulary. He gets really shy to talk around people, but at home he is a little chatter box. Some of his favorite words are: hi, baby, tub, uh-oh, yum-yum, car & pup.

Last week my sister in law, Sarah came up one night to make cupcakes. (She had to make them for a friend.) The theme was Alice in Wonderland, and we had a blast making them. They only took us about.... 5 hours..good old fondant. Here is a picture of our finished product! Pretty cute if I do say so myself!

Merry Christmas!

I can't believe that Christmas has already come, and gone. I guess when you're the one stressing about the gifts, putting up the tree, wrapping everything, and doing everything that comes along with the holidays it comes a lot quicker than when you're a kid, waiting for Christmas morning to come.

December was filled with so many fun things. From our traditional family Candy Day, to fun days full of shopping with my hubby, to Pickeville Christmas plays. There is nothing better than a month full of fun activities!

Andrew was so much fun this year. He still doesn't understand the whole Santa thing.. but he absolutely loved opening all of his presents. Christmas is so special when you have a little one that gets so excited.

We spent Christmas Eve with my family in Logan. The night was full of so many fun things. We had a delicious turkey dinner, opened sibling presents, played bingo and played the almond game. The almond game is a tradition that we have done for years. We make homemade ice cream, and the person that has the almond in their ice cream wins an awesome prize! We also watched some old family videos of when we were little.

Christmas morning was so much fun. When we woke up, Andrew opened all of his presents from Santa, and he helped Steven and I open our gifts too! Then we headed up to my parents house to do gifts up there.

After we got ready for the day, we headed down to West Jordan to spend Christmas day with the Olsons. Stevens family got Andrew an awesome little car, that he LOVES!! It is so cool, because we can control it with a controller, or Andrew can drive it himself! He is going to have so much fun with his little car.

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas, and have a Happy New Year!!!

for the record

I HATE apartments. I am so happy to finally be back in Logan, but I absolutely hate living in an apartment. Don't get me wrong, they are decent apartments, but the people living above us drive me nuts. They are a bunch of young college guys, who seriously don't do anything all day. I can hear them ALL day long. Like go to work or something!!!!!!!!!!!! I constantly hear moving furniture, and it's always conveniently when I have just put Andrew down for a nap. It sounds like they rearrange their living room 10 times a day, and they are constantly sliding their kitchen chairs around on their tile!! GRR! I am a bit annoyed right now, if ya can't tell! So, for the record, I hate apartments, and I hope this is the last one I have to live in!!!!!!!!

if you give a moose a muffin....

This morning as my mom and I were on our way to get a diet coke, we noticed this cute guy!

I apologize for the poor photo quality, it was taken with my Blackberry

Too bad I didn't have any muffins to feed him :)
